First Snow!!!

A few weeks ago I started telling people that I wanted snow for my birthday.... well as Silas and I drove south on Rt 16 to Boston on Saturday, the snow began to fall.  Even though it only accumulated to a few inches... there is still snow on the ground two days later.  I hope it is here to stay!!! As we were leaving Silas's brother's apartment in Belmont, MA sunday morning I snapped a few photos of his street and a few out the window as we drove out of town... I love the look of fresh snow clinging to everything!

IMG_0466Every time we drive by this place I want to stop and go look around-  Through the huge windows I see all kinds of goodies... I hope someday I have time to stop and explore.

Chef James.

Meet Chef James.  James is the chef at Wine Thyme in North Conway, NH, my co-worker and my friend.  A few months ago, while I was tasting some of his incredible homemade soups, James and I started talking about taking some photos of him in front of the restaurant.  He wanted one where he looked angry/pissed off- you know Anthony Bourdain style.  Well last week on a slow afternoon we decided to try a few photos.  Of course my favorites is not the angry chef one... but thats just me. Waiting tables is a really nice complement to my photo business.  With photography If I'm not shooting, most of the time, I am sitting at my computer where my dog and two cats are the most social interaction I get all day long.  (Of course unless you count facebook).   Waiting tables gives me a chance to run around like a chicken with my head cut off, strike up random conversations with customers and work with some cool people and it's kind of fun!  This shot is of our mini dining room looking out at the patio.  Most of the summer that patio if PACKED with people.  This time of year we are all, as patiently as possibly, waiting for the snow and skiers.

bad blogger... very bad.

I've been so bad about blogging the past week or so and I am very sorry!  Life is crazy!!! My boyfriend Silas and I hosted Thanksgiving on Thursday and it was great!  We had some friends come over and ate so much food... plus we still have at least 3 meals left over.  We played some rock band, sang some karaoke and drank some wine.  Sadly because I was cooking for a chef and another cook I was so wrapped up in not messing anything up that I totally forgot to take some photos of the wonderful food. I am however putting up some of the book layouts that I've been working on for a wedding I did (with help from Miss Deborah Parker) back in April.  The wedding was in Bay St. Louis Mississippi- and it was BEAUTIFUL!!!!  The first page are photos we took at their rehearsal dinner which was a crawfish boil- and the crazy dudes in the pants are the grooms best friends!
