North Conway Family Portrait Photographer

Just before heading to the coast of Maine for my wedding week I met up with Jeanette Rose, her husband and their two boys.  This family was so happy to be away on vacation and wanted to capture their happiest moments here in North Conway for their portrait session.  The two boys were a little quite at first but once they realized that I wasn't going to bite we got some giggles and smiles.  I think doing family photos while you are on vacation is a great idea.  Sometimes kids struggle with portraits and if they are already in a good mood and happy to be away from home doing fun things it's a little bit easier to get them to loosen up and have some fun. A honeymoon in Scotland Part 1

Silas and I had the perfect wedding day.  perfect. When we were thinking about honeymoon plans months ago we thought about a cruse, a trip to europe and even something a little closer to home.  But when it came down to that dream vacation Scotland was always at the top of the list.  So Scotland it was.  We left the day after our wedding and spent 5 days in Edinburgh and then two days on the beautiful Isle of Skye.  I took my brand new Fuji X10 with me and loved having a small camera that would take the photos the way I was seeing them and not having to lug around my full think tank.  Enjoy some of my favorite photos from our first few days in Scotland:

Megan & Craig: Fryeburg, Maine & Harvest Gold Gallery Wedding

The forecast was for scattered thunderstorms.  It was bright, sunny and hot when my assistant Lindsey and I arrived.  By the time we were headed to a beautiful open field in Fryeburg for their first look and photos the clouds had rolled in and were providing us with some dramatic skies and fortunately no rain...yet.  The ceremony was in the filed overlooking Kezar Lake in Lovell at the beautiful Harvest Gold Gallery, and just as we arrived some dramatic downpours dampened the scene.  Thankfully they were short and followed up by bright skies just in the nick of time for their ceremony.  Megan & Craig were didn't let a little wet get them down and just as the bridal party was being announced into the barn for the reception the skies opened up again but this time the reception was rocking and with a roof over our heads no one seemed to care.   The reception was full of amazingly beautiful rustic DIY details including old windows, tree cake stands and mason jars galore!   Thankfully the wedding gods were smiling on Megan & Craig as they had lots of rain on their wedding day but never when it would mess with their plans.  Thank you guys for having me a long to document your day.  It was a pleasure and I can't wait to see you both soon!!! Jaimie’s Travel Inspired Photo Shoot

I've known Jaimie for longer then I'd like to admit.  We both spent many a summer under the pines trees at Waukeela Camp and one year I was even her CIT (what a crazy summer that was).  Jaimie had a plan to take a road trip and keep a blog while she was traveling and wanted to do some fun photos for the blog design... a little Grace Potter inspired kind of look.  Well the road trip has been postponed we decided why not do the shoot anyway?!  We had three... no maybe four re-schedules due to work things and of course weather.  The day finally arrive and the weather was PERFECT. The bugs were not so perfect but alas we had a great time anyway and Jaimie rocked it.  This girl knows how to work a camera and her beauty and confidence were off the chart. I can't wait to do more of these type of fun shoots :)
