Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

I can't believe that tomorrow is Thanksgiving!!!  I've spent this whole month playing catch up and fighting off a cold that just doesn't want to go away.  The farmer's almanac said there would be snow on the ground by Thanksgiving- and this is my view out my front door this morning.  10 plus inches of snow in my front yard and it's still coming down.

This afternoon Silas, my parents and I are all headed south to spend Thanksgiving with my family in VA.  I can't wait to see my grandfather and spend some quality time sitting around chatting with my family with no emails to return and no phone calls to make.  Believe it or not I may even miss my brother not being with us (he lives in Australia).  I hope everyone can spend some quality time with their families this weekend and be reminded of the joy and love that surrounds us all.

Have a wonderful holiday everyone, and anyone who is crazy enough to take on those Black Friday sales- Godspeed.

Megan & Craig {engagements}

She calls him "Jockey Cap Boy".  Back before she even knew his name she would often run into him at the Jockey Cap Store.  Apparently they were both admiring from afar and their friends would tease them saying things like "Hey Craig I saw your future wife today".   So after weeks of smiles and nods someone finally took the initiative and set these two up.   The rest is history. I met Megan, Craig and Megan's daughter up in North Chatham NH.  Now if you don't know where that is it's way the heck outside of town (town being North Conway).  Almost up to the notch.  But let me tell you it's a beautiful place.  We found a field with mountain views, a little brook with a bridge and an old camp/cottage for a background.

OK, now Part Two- coming at ya:

*oh and don't forget about those surprises I told you about- both are coming up*

It turns out Travis and I have more then our High School in common, apparently we both LOVE Ben & Jerry's so as a little treat Rebecca surprised Travis and the guests with some tasty treats B&J style :)

Then it was Travis turn to surprise Rebecca.... with a KILLER fireworks display over the lake.  Not to shabby :)

Now fireworks was defiantly the way to cap off 2011.  Thank you Rebecca and Travis for the perfect ending to a perfect season!!!!  I love you both tons and tons!!!

Rebecca & Travis | Migis Lodge | S. Casco, ME {wedding part 1}

Rebecca and Travis have two of the biggest hearts of any people I know.  The way they look at one other is enough to bring on some serious global warming and melt the ice caps!  Their wedding was the perfect way to end my 2011 wedding season!!!  With friends and family and a killer band these two had a wedding that is defiantly one for the books!  Both of them planned a special surprise for each other on their wedding day.  And trust me these were not simple gift surprises- these were, thoughtfully planned out, a little over the top kind of surprises.  This was my first time at the stunning lake side Migis Lodge, and hopefully not my last! In fact this wedding is so great, it's going to be two full posts to squeeze in all the wonderfulness.  So to get you started, here is Part One:

More portraits and the fabulous details and a killer band are all to come in Part Two :)
