Megan & Pat | September 12, 2009

It may not be the height of wedding season in New England but I sure am finding myself busy with wedding books.  I have a list of at least 4 that need to be worked on right now.  I've been going back and forth on a few designs for Megan and Pat's book for the past few weeks- It's not quite right yet but as soon as I have it figured out I will post some of the pages! In the mean time here are some of the photos from their wedding at The Darby Field Inn and their reception at the Tin Mountain Learning Center, that will grace the pages of their wedding book:

This group of guys were some of the most fun groomsmen I've worked with- they were more then willing to jump off things and make funny faces for the camera!

The gardens at The Darby Field Inn are just beautiful!!!

Dutch Bloemen Winkel did a FANTASTIC job with their flowers...

What a great location for a wedding!!!

and of course a little cake action:

I had a great time with Megan and Pat on their wedding day- and I'm so honored to have shared it with them.  They were such a fun couple!  I think their book is going to be stunning and might be one of my favorites.

Pictage Slideshow.

As a relatively new member of Pictage (a wonderful viewing website for professional photographers) I've just recently discovered their slideshow feature.  Now that I know kind of how to use it I'm going to share one with all of you!  I hope to include these very cool slideshows is many more posts to come. So without further ado.....  (drum roll please)..... Some of my favorite images from Amy & Michael's wedding:

The Mt. Washington Resort

Sitting here with cold feet and cold fingers looking out at the fresh 8 inches of snow we just had fall from the sky- I thought I'd post some photos from a warmer time. These images are from a wedding I second shot for with Shawn Tomkinson Photography back in September of 2009.  I was so excited to shoot at the Mt. Washington Resort, not only because it is one of the most beautiful places for a wedding but it was a clear, blue sky day- perfect for a terrace wedding!

I am lucky enough to have a wedding booked next November that will take place at the Mt. Washington and I can't wait!!!

My first assignment upon arrival: shoot the boys getting ready...

Just before following the boys down to taking our places for the Ceremony I made my way to the spa to do a quick check on the girls.

The ceremony was perfect with the breathtaking backdrop...

I found myself taking a lot of photos of the brides STUNNING ring.  I just couldn't help myself - I guess I'm a sucker for shinny things :)

The floral designer for their wedding was Tammy Becker, who traveled all the way up from Boston.  I had never seen wedding flowers where the bridesmaids all had the same color but different flowers- it was such a classy and unique touch.

While Shawn was shooting the formals I took a few minutes to get some images of the grand ball room before all the guests filled in.

I had a wonderful time working with Shawn!  This was a beautiful wedding and a fantastic day!

Nick & Mel | Sunday River | Jan 2, 2010

A week after their beautiful snowy day wedding on the slopes of Jordan Bowl, Sunday River, I'm finally making a full post with their images. I was so lucky to have Meg of Meg Simone Videography along with me for this wedding.  She has loads of shooting on skis experience- which came in quite handy.  Her images are stunning and capture the feel of the trail side wedding perfectly! These two had a great combination of a wedding on skis and a slightly more traditional reception dinner which included the wedding dress.  Melanie's mom told me that her daughter had always said she was going to get married on skis... I guess dreams can come true :)

Meg rode the chairlift up and followed Mel and her father down the trail as he skied her down the isle.  Part way down the trail Mel's dad took "a diggah" - Good thing he was ok and his pride (once he sees this posted) is hopefully the only thing bruised.

Just after the ceremony Nick and Mel pinned "Just" & "Married" signs on their backs for their first ski run as a married couple- Many skiers and boarders congratulated them as they skied by.

After a quick dip in the outdoor hot tub to warm up Nick and Mel changed into their dinner/reception attire.  We decided to play with this HUGE stone fireplace in the lobby of the hotel before dinner.

Many congrats to Nick and Mel!  Thanks for allowing me to explore the world of skiing wedding photography, and a BIG thank you to Meg Simone for all her expert help.

Michael & Amy | January 3, 2010 | Jackson, NH

2010 has started with some snow in northern new england.  While my first wedding of the year was in a snow storm and on skis, Michael and Amy's wedding was a bit more traditional - but had falling snow just the same. The happy couple cxchanged vows at the BEAUTIFUL Wentworth Inn in Jackson NH.  Michael is from England and it was great to see some of his family make the trip over the pond to be a part of their special day.  The location was stunning, the gown was gorgeous, the food was wonderful and the couple was happy!  I've known Amy since she was little- her older sister Beth has been a friend of mine since high school.  It was such a treat to see Amy all grown up and getting married to this handsome British man!

On my first look through the images from the day I picked out 42 as my favorites... hmmm....knowing I had to narrow that down a bit before posting some for all of you to see - I made a second, third and finally a forth edit through my favorites... It was so hard with all pretty pictures.  So here is the final cut.   This first image shows Amy's vail, which was her mother's vial when she was married.  It was so classic.  Its amazing how vintage pieces can add such a touch of elegance to the day.
