Lyla's First Birthday

I can't believe how fast this little girl has grown up.  I feel like it was yesterday that I was taking newborn photos.  I know, I know everyone says "they grow up so fast!!"  But this is really the first time in my life I've been so close to someone with a baby and watching her grow just blows me away!  This beautiful girl is now walking and has teeth coming in.  I spent a few hours yesterday with her and her awesome parents laughing, smiling and of course eating a little cake.  I think she enjoyed the cake most of all ;) XOXO Spring

Rebecca & Marc's Whitney's Inn | Jackson, NH | Sept 8, 2012

We sat on the patio of a local coffee shop laughing and talking about love, life and my recent honeymoon.  We talked as old friends even though we've only known each other for a few months.  I had looked forward to our coffee date for weeks knowing that although we had some timeline and business talk to go over that what I was really excited about was spending some time with my new friend. Rebecca and Marc are some of the best kind of people out there.  They are people who love life, love others and love love.  Their love is so strong that it permeates everything and everyone around them.  From the first time we met and chatted I knew these guys were special.  When Rebecca sent me a note a few weeks before her wedding confirming our coffee date she made it very clear that this wasn't a business meeting, this wasn't about work this was about catching up, talking about life and how we have each been over the last few months.  It's people like Marc and Rebecca that make my job so much more then a job- they make it a passion, they make it a life that I love.

Rain was on the radar for their afternoon ceremony but with plans for a first look we got some great images in before the rain crashed the party.  Rebecca is like me... she's a cryer.  She cried tears of love when she read a note Marc had written, she cried tears of love as she walked towards him for the first time on their wedding day and she cried tears of love when her father walked her down the isle.

Rebecca & Marc your love is as beautiful as the two of you are in front of my lens.  Thank you for allowing me to, not only be your friend, but also to witness the start of your lives together.  I am honored to call you my friends and I can't wait to hit the slopes with you guys this winter!

Val & James | Whitney's Inn Jackson, NH | Wedding

A Monday wedding.  Not your typical day of the week to celebrate.  Most people dread Mondays, the day we all head back to the grind after an all to short weekend of relaxation.  Val and James have always spent their Monday's together, it was their date day.  So it was only fitting that they choose to be married on a day that means something to them and their story.  It was a warm August monday afternoon in Jackson, NH and while most were dreading the long week ahead these two were dreaming about the future they were starting. Hannah's Senior Session

I've driven by this field so many times and drooled over the amazing light that swims across the ground in the late afternoon so when Hannah and I were brainstorming on locations this beautiful little field just popped into my head and I knew it was the perfect spot.  The light was perfect and Hannah makes my job behind the camera so easy.  This girl knows how to rock and I knew going in this was going to be a session for the books, ok well maybe one for the website. Thanks Hannah for spending the afternoon with me in a field twirling and laughing.  You are beautiful!!!

What to Expect: The Lifestyle Session

I am often asked what a lifestyle session is "is it just a portrait session?"  Well yes and no.  A lifestyle session can be anything you want it to be.  Sure it's a portrait session but my hope is that it's more then that.  My goal is to capture your life through this session not just a classic "say cheese" kind of portrait.  Be it a headshot, a band photos for a CD, a family spending time together or a boudoir shoot, the goal of any lifestyle session is to capture you in your element. This year I'm changing things up a little bit.  I've decided to step up and really provide my clients with the best service possible, which means I am going to not only take beautiful images of you and your family but I'm also going to help you figure out the best way to enjoy these images for years to come by walking you through a sales session.  Together we will figure out what the best investments for prints, albums and canvases are for you.  When we schedule your session we will also schedule a viewing/ordering session for the same day.  That's right you are going to see your images the same day they are taken!  The idea behind this is to streamline the whole process and get you your prints faster!!! Many of my clients are doing their sessions while are visiting the North Conway area on vacation and this way they get to see the images, and place their order all before even going home at the end of the trip.

When you schedule your shoot we'll schedule the shooting time an then about an hour or so later a viewing/ordering session.  After the shoot you can walk down the street and grab a cup of coffee or even a bite to eat then we will meet back at my studio to view your images.  We will go through the image proofs and decide what images will work best for your home.  There is also an incentive discount on any products that you order at this first ordering session in hopes that we will get wall art in your home sooner and you wont end up three months down the road only having seen the images in an online gallery and not having any prints on your walls.

The photo session is about having fun and capturing your life and memories.  I hope that people to want to document their lives and never forget the moments that so quickly pass us by.  I know that many people have their own quality cameras these days, I mean hay the iphone takes a pretty darn good photos these days, but if you are behind the camera you don't get to be a part of these preserved memories.  I want to be behind the camera so you can be with your family and be able to look back and see you as a part of these memories.

As a special promotion I'm offering $50 off your session fee to anyone who emails and books a session and mentions this blog post.  Shoot me an email, call me, text me if you want just don't miss out on this awesome promotion!  This offer expires the end of September!
