Jackson, NH {family photographer}

Jackson, NH is one of the most beautiful towns in Mt. Washington Valley and many of my clients are residents of other states but have family homes in the Jackson area and want their families captured when they are all together visiting their vacation home.  Annaliis and her family are no different.  She lives in VA but Jackson, NH still holds a little piece of her heart.  When her family was all in town visiting over Labor Day we found an hour or two to document their family all together.  Brother's and grandparents, aunts and uncles.

It was wonderful to meet your family Annaliis- I hope to see you all up in Jackson again soon!

Ben & Kate {engaged}

Ben & Kate are tying the knot this October at The Eagle Mt. House in Jackson, NH.  They made the trip up to the white mts earlier this month for a quick engagement session.  We had buttery light and loads of smiles.  The best part is this awesome old barn and field are right in North Conway Village less then a 5 min walk from my studio.

My personal favorite!!

Kate & Ben- I'm looking forward to your fall wedding!! See you guys once the leaves turn :)

Wedding Thumb Drives {news}

I have always loved the personalization of giving a disk of wedding images printed with an image from the wedding for all of my couples but the times and money that goes into creating them and buying ink has just gotten to be too much.  I must admit that making the switch to thumb drives was not an easy choice but now that I have them here in my hands they are pretty freakin' cool :) I recently purchased these really awesome cases for the thumb drives and they totally remind me of a jewelry box.  They even make that really sweet snap sound when they open and close the way a really nice jewelry box does!  I keep finding myself opening and closing it just to hear that sound- yes I'm aware that's a little strange but you know you love that sound too.

What do you think? Do you think these are as cool as I do?

Julie & Chris | brownfield, maine {wedding}

Julie is possibly the most creative and artistic person I know.  Ever since we were little kids I've known this girl was going places.  With a hugely successful fashion blog (Orchid Grey) Julie is taking the fashion world by storm.  Because of her creativity and hard work Julie's wedding was full of killer DIY details that had me snapping thousands of photos.  I have been looking forward to this wedding for months and being able to be there to capture every detail and smile of Julie's wedding day was truly an honor. Julie & Chris were married at Julie's childhood home.

The vintage typewriter guest book.

I know all of Julie's thousands of blog followers have been dying to know what she was wearing as a wedding dress.  Julie saw this dress in the window at a consignment shop and scooped it up before she was even engaged.  This Betsey Johnson made the perfect wedding dress.  Don't even get me started on her shoes- ugggh so pretty I may or may not have taken over 100 images of these shoes... can you blame me???

Trying to be budget savvy Julie did all the flowers herself- with the help of her bridesmaids and other family and friends.  They ordered some of the flowers from Sam's Club and gathered the rest of the wildflowers from the side of the road the day before the wedding.  I am blown away by this girls talent... fashion blogger turned wedding planner and florist?

I'm very impressed that any of the images of the ceremony are in focus- thank god for auto focus or they would all be blurry.  I was crying like a baby.

How stinkin' cute are they?

Oh the desserts!!!!  They had pie, cake, cupcakes and more.  All homemade.  I love the little "XO" and heart details on top of the pies.

What a fabulous wedding!!!!!  The party lasted long into the night with loads of fun and dancing.  Thank you Julie & Chris from the bottom of my heart-  There is no where else I would have rather been, then with the two of  you as you started and celebrated your lives together.
