Whitney Arnold | Senior Portraits | Fryeburg Academy

Whitney is beautiful.  This girl is full of smiles, laughs and some pretty killer modeling abilities!!! We had planned to head down to Cape Elizabeth for an afternoon of senior portraits, but as soon as we arrived at the beach the fog began to roll in-  So we shot as fast as we could at the most beautiful spot I've ever been!!  Everything was perfect- the waves, the colors of the flowers and the sun setting made for some spectacular light.

She said this smile gives her 'chipmunk cheeks'-  and I love it!

Is it just me or do her eyes match the ocean in this one?

Whitney is a dancer, so she brought along her toe shoes.  I love the feel of these.  Dancing on a cliff overlooking the ocean- yes please!!

There is something about her blue eyes and the yellow flowers that just makes me happy.

Secret garden anyone?

As I mentioned, the fog rolled in.  After shooting at the cliffs we tried to get to Crescent Beach- but by the time we got there you couldn't even see the beach- so we made due shooting in the parking lot.  I kinda love these- they remind me of old movie stills.

Thank you Whitney for being up for anything- you are beautiful and I had so much fun with you on our crazy beach adventure!!!

Meredith & Colin | Married | Jackson, NH

Meredith and Colin were married on August 19, 2010.  I'm a little late with their blog post but trust me it will be worth the wait.   These two tied the knot at The Inn at Jackson with their reception held at the Shovel Handle Pub at the nearby Whitney's Inn.

Meredith's stunning dress was from French Bridal in Beverly Mass.

While I was with Meredith upstairs, my assistant Lindsey went down to check on the guys.  Colin's brother was helping him get all the details just right.

Carrie Scribner of Dutch Bloemen Winkel provided the most beautiful flowers-  Seriously guys- these are the kind of flowers I'll have at my wedding someday.  Just beautiful!

Meredith looked stunning!!!!

The ceremony and cocktail hour were on the front lawn of the Inn at Jackson.  The perfect setting for a late summer wedding.

Meredith and Colin had a very cool, unique element in their ceremony.  They asked their friends and family in attendance to pass around the ring bearers' pillow with the rings on it for everyone to bless them and their marriage.

Man and wife!

I love this shot of the flowers with the couple beyond them that Lindsey got- My assistant rocks!!!!

After the family photos were done and cocktail hour was under way, we headed over to the Shovel Handle Pub to get some shots of the reception before all the guests arrived.

Beth Carta of Sugarmaker Bakery did a fantastic job with the cake. Simple elegance- and obviously quite tasty.

Peak Entertainment did a great job- as always- keeping everyone on the dance floor long into the night.

What a fantastic day-  Thank you Meredith and Colin for including us in your wedding day.  We feel so lucky to have shared it with you both.  Congrats!!!

Connell Family | August 2010

I've been taking photos of the Connell family for what seems like forever.  Well I guess it has been quite a few years.  It started when I was baby siting Cory and his brother Chad and took lots of photos of them for my photography class.  Over the years I've shot Amy and Cory's wedding, some maternity photos, photos of their puppy, new born photos and quite a few of Cam growing up. We got together at their house to take a few photos of the three of them and their two dogs.  It's hard to get dogs to look at the camera at the same time as the people trying to keep them under control so my friend Shannon tagged along to help draw everyones attention to the camera.  We managed to get a few using some goldfish as tempting doggie treats.

Isn't she beautiful?!!!

We were also after some fun photos of Cam now that she is 18 months old.  We did some with her rocking chair in the yard as well as on the train tracks in Fryeburg.

This might be my favorite of the day- she is just to stinkin' cute.

Amy had a great idea to take Cam for some ice cream... She wasn't quite as into the ice cream as I would have been-  But I think we got some pretty cute pics of her in her dress that matched the colored sprinkles.

I am so happy to be a part of the Connell family's life and I look forward to shooting more fun photos of their family as the years go by.
