Spreading The Love

I am so lucky!!!!  I attended Justin & Mary's Spread The Love Tour yesterday @ Stacy Kane's studio in Scarborough ME.  WHAT A BLAST!  I even was privileged enough to have dinner with Justin and Mary after the workshop at Four Street in Portland- YUM! Unfortunately I have a million things to do today and don't have time for a full re-cap but I will be blogging all kinds of new ideas and fun things I learned soon!!

back from vegas.

What a whirl-wind week!!!  As my partner in crime for the week put it: Vegas is Disney World for adults. I am so excited to start applying all my new ideas to my blog and website-  this might take a while because there are just so many ideas.  Debbie and I had a great time meeting the who's who of the photography world and trying to soak up every bit of information possible.  Here are some photos from our fantastic WPPI trip!

Debbie loved sitting in the "window seat" really just a little ledge by the window.

I wasn't found in the window seat quite so often but Debbie did snap a photo of me with my reflection-

A cool pic I took of New York New York- notice the big truck driving by...

Debbie and I with the MGM lion-

The following images prove that I've now met some of the coolest photogarphers on the west coast:  Becker (who I had met once before), Jasmine Star and Jessica Claire

*Can you tell I'd had a few margaritas by this point?*

Debbie and I also took a stroll one night along the strip to explore.  Out in front of Paris is this little sign and it was just too perfect to pass up the photo-opp.

Well there you have it- Debbie & Spring's trip to WPPI Vegas!  I can't wait for next year!!!!!

WPPI in Vegas!

I am off to Boston today to spend the day with my best friend romping around my former home city.  Who knows where the night will end but I'm sure to enjoy a few good martinis and some tasty food before the day is over. Sunday afternoon Deborah Parker and I are headed to Vegas for this years WPPI conference.  I am so excited and will try to post a few photos of the madness while I'm there. I'm looking forward to long days learning from some of the best photographers in the world and long nights partying with them!

down and out.

I've been fighting the flu for a few days now- and I finally feel like I might have a shot at winning this battle!  Spending a few days at home relaxing has been nice I just wish I wasn't going through 6 boxes of tissues and feeling like I got hit by a bus at the same time.  I didn't even turn on my computer yesterday- thats saying a lot for me... I'm kind of an email and internet addict. With the Olympics over, and my WPPI trip right around the corner I'm ready to be feeling better and be on the move again.  So I do apologize for the lack of posts.  Tonight I'm going to a "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun- Girls Night Out" at Wine Thyme in North Conway, NH.  I will be working (Waiting tables keeps my bills paid in the slow wedding seasons) but I also have added a goodie to the give away bags that I hope will help my slow season business take off!  The White Mt. Cupcakery is going to be sampleing cupcakes and we have some wine sampling from Cupcake winery!  Should be a great night!  The first 20 ladies in the door get a gift bag which includes lots of goodies including a Concept Spring Studio gift certificate!

I'm going to try to have a few moments to take some photos tonight but it all depends on just how many ladies "wanna have fun!"

and the flowers...

I have been to a lot of weddings.  From Texas and Arkansas to Bay St. Louis Mississippi and north to Mt. Washington Valley.  I've been so lucky to work with some great venders all over the county.  Today I sent some of my studios best flower images to a local florest for her to show as samples.  I figued I might as well share them here with you as well. Dutch Bloemen Winkel does such an amazing job!!  Pat and Megan's wedding had some bright, happy, pink roses that were stunning and the bridesmaids bouquets had a softer look that made for some beautiful photographs.   Carolyn & Volker used some great fall colors!  I have a thing for orange (I'm currently wearing one of my favorite bright orange banana republic turtlenecks).  Carolyn's boquet blew me away!!!  My second shooter at their wedding took some really stunning images of just the bouquet itself.

Flowers are such a wonderful way to play with color!  I really enjoy shooting weddings with beautiful floral arrangements- and so far Carrie at Dutch Bloemen Winkel has provided me with some great opportunities to do so!
