When I found out that Whitney was engaged I was so excited for her! I had photographed her senior portraits and her cousins wedding years ago. When she told me they were planning to get married in Hawaii I was secretly hoping she would take me with her. While the Hawaii plans have changed and although its a bummer not be headed somewhere tropical with them I'm pretty excited to document their big day next summer right here on the coast of Maine!
Whitney had Pine Point in mind for their engagement shoot and after battling the weather for a day that wouldn't thunderstorm on us we finally hit it just right and had a beautiful warm evening with soft pastel skies! The beach was still a little busy by sunset but it didn't seam to bother these two one bit. They were laughing and smiling the whole time, making my job easier and an absolute blast! Here are a few of my favorites :)

I've known Isa since the 4th grade. She was one of my best friends through elementary, middle and high school. Although with the years since we graduated our paths have rarely crossed it took only moments for us to be right back where we were all those years ago- laughing, smiling and just having a blast together! We spent the evening catching up, visiting and of course taking some photos. Isa and John are expecting their first baby this summer and I couldn't be more exited for them. They are going to be the best parents and you can already see the overwhelming love they have for this little one.
I love being able to capture the excitement as well as the deep and emotional clam that expecting moms have in these last weeks of pregnancy. I think mom's have that 6th sense and know just how crazy life is going to be soon and so there is this serenity when its just her holding her belly- enjoying something so amazing and so life changing in the last few quiet moments. Capturing those magic moments is what makes my heart so full and so happy.

Brittany and Eric went to school together but were not high school sweethearts. It was years later that they crossed paths and something clicked. They live here in the White Mountains and decided there was no better place to celebrate their love and start their lives together then the town they call home. Their June wedding day was perfection in every seance of the word. The weather was warm with blue skies and sun shining. Brittany's dress was elegant and classic. Her shoes gave her tiny self a little lift to make that kiss at the end of the ceremony a little easier. The ceremony was sweet and personal and their smiles never faded.

Mark and Faith met in the first grade. Mark couldn't help but have a crush on her from elementary school all the way through middle school and high school. Faith wasn't exactly interested but his persistence paid off in high school when much to Mark's delight they began dating. After 13 years together Mark popped the question on top of the Empire State Building in NYC and they made it official this winter, right here in Maine where it all started.
