I spent Saturday with Caron & John at The Ocean Gateway in Portland. What a cool venue. Anyone looking for a modern venue on the ocean in Portland- this is your place! Here is a little taste of their perfect day.

Family
Spending last weekend with my soon to be Family was wonderful. I can't tell you how happy I am to be marrying into a family so full of love and laughter. Silas and I spend the weekend down in MA at his family's summer cottage. We went swimming, grilled burgers, played horse shoes and went down to the ocean. All of Silas's nieces and nephews were along for the trip which made for lots of running around, card games and tubing on the lake. I love his family and can't wait to spend more and more time with them in the coming years. I'm still hoping his parents might make the move back north *hint hint* but until then I'm just thankful to have them visit whenever they can.

Andrea & Dan | Portland, ME {engagements}
I met Andrea and Dan last fall at Rebecca & Owen's wedding. Rebecca was all exvited because they had just gotten engaged and she knew she just had to introduce us. Flash forward a few months and Andrea contacted me to talk about her wedding. I was so glad they could make the trip back from CO to squeeze in an engagement shoot before their September wedding. We decided to meet up in Portland ME. These two are very outdoorsy and love living in CO but have been considering moving back east to be close to family. Dan could live in a cabin in the woods and be happy but Andrea loves the city life. Portland might just offer them the best of both worlds. We met up for a sushi lunch, a walking tour of the Old Port, a quick beer and of course some photos.
I selfishly hope they move back east and choose Portland to be home, not only would they be close by to be able to meet up for Sushi and beer more often but Andrea is dreaming of opening a restaurant or catering business so I know we'd be in for yet another great eatery in Portland.

Bethany & Corey | Jackson, NH {engagements}
Corey is a Mt man. He just hiked most of the AT before his wedding. Crazy in my opinion, then again bad knees have made me a less then avid hiker. Bethany also enjoys the outdoors but was stuck behind planning their September wedding. These two are getting married at Whitney's Inn in Jackson, NH so we met up in Jackson to do their outdoorsy engagement shoot last week.
We started at the iconic Jackson covered bridge.
Bethany has the sweetest smile.
These guys were troopers and even went wading in the water for a few shots looking up the river.
This might be my favorite just because Corey is pushing Bethany down because she happens to be a tad taller then her groom- I know that feeling ;)
Thanks guys for making the trip up to the mountains. I can't wait to see you guys again in September!!

Julie & Chris | Beverly MA {engagements}
Julie and I have known each other forever. Ok so maybe only since we were 2-3 years old. Many of my earliest memories include this girl. From baths in a claw foot tub in the middle of her field, to summers at camp and high school days this girl and I have been friends through it all. Julie and Chris are getting married at Julie's childhood home next month and I could not be more honored to be her photographer. With Julie being a fashion/style guru (the beauty and brains behind Orchid Grey) and all I know every detail is going to be stunning! A few weeks ago I met up with these two down in Beverly, MA where they currently live and spent the last bits of sunlight shooting these two at The Willows, a fun pier and arcade where they have been coming together for years.
Are they not the most photogenic people on the planet?? Uggh it kills me. Thank you Julie & Chris for spending the evening with me - I love you both so much and can not wait for next month!!!!
