We were on our way to breakfast when my best friend KC says "lets go swing by the shelter... just to look". So I switched my blinker and we took a right instead of a left. The moment we walked in the door this sweet face peeked over the top of her kennel and KC was DONE for. It may have taken 3 days to figure out the logistics but there was no question that this puppy was KC's and KC was hers.

My friend Stacy asked me if I'd help her out and photograph all the girls on her softball team so that the parents could get nice photos of their girls. Now being a rec softball alum (Go Brownfield Lions!!!) of course I was ready to help. We had to fight off the black flies but the photos came out great! A special thank you to my friend Shannon for helping me keep things organized that afternoon.

Today I'm saying good bye to my kitty Sam. We adopted him as a stray when he was 5 months old and today, 16 + years later I have to put him down. He has bone a bone tumor and has gotten to that point. I'm sad to say good bye but want to celebrate his life and share some of my favorite photos of him.
